Overgrown to finished

Two front yards. In the slider, overgrown yews came out and we built red EZ Wall II (Antique) garden wall beds on both sides of the steps, finished with river rock and new plantings. Above, overgrown junipers and grasses came out for a curved garden wall bed and a weeping tree.

Our story

It started on a sod farm

Jason Mathews was 12 years old when he started working on his grandparents' sod farm. After that he worked landscape jobs with his dad. In 2014 he started Mathews Family Landscaping & Concrete.

Today it's a full crew of installers, concrete finishers, lawn and irrigation techs working out of 13380 N Telegraph Rd in Flat Rock. We still run it the same way: show up when we say we will, build it right and treat every yard like it's ours.
